I hear so much about cybersecurity and prided myself on the ability to not answer suspicious calls and delete odd looking emails that I became complacent. That was until I had an email from what purported to be a client asking me to buy £1,000 worth of Amazon Cards so he could distribute those to his staff, hence he was writing from his personal email address and not to tell his staff. I noticed it was an odd looking address but still went onto Amazon to buy the cards and it was only then when I took some time to think what I was doing that I thought this is a scam and rang him.
There are so many criminals out there, especially now, calling on our mobiles and sending emails that we can never let our guard down - be careful out there and have a look at this cybersecurity website if you are a small business:
